Harry Potter Fans Unite with Alternity

Attention Harry Potter fans! JK Rowling may have put down her pen where Harry is concerned, but her fans haven't. Surf on over to Alternity, a Harry Potter alternative universe RPG, created by award-winning author Peg Kerr and company. For details on the site and story lines surf on over to Peg's online journal.

How...um...interesting. At least they're using their brains for creativity instead of evil (I think).

Thanks for the plug!

Here are a couple of links. To follow the game, you read HP Alternity, the community, and the HP Alternity Friends page, where the individual journals are displayed (alt_harry, alt_hermione, alt_ron, etc.). There is also a fan discussion page for people following HP Alternity, called Alt_fen.

After a little head scratching we found a solution to allow people to read HP Alternity game all together on one page.

A journal has been set up called "alt_player", which we will use on the occasions whenever we want to respond anonymously to questions at the Alt_fen community. Anyway, it has been set so that it has friended HP Alternity, Alt_fen, and all the individual player journals. A custom reading group has also been set up on that account, with HP Alternity, all the journals, but without Alt_fen.

So, if you want to read everything (including Alt_fen, the fan discussion group), read the "alt_player"'s friends list here.

If you want to read just the game, without the Alt_fen posts interspersed, read the custom reading group here.

That way, you only have to bookmark one (or both, if you like) links, and you can visit whenever you like and see everything you want to see.

Summaries of the game are posted at Alt_fen each week here Hope this helps!

Also, we'd be very pleased if you'd stop by Alt_fen sometime and let us know if you're enjoying the game.

You might include this link, which points to the entries on my own journal tagged Alternity.

Again, thanks for the pointer to the game. I hope you've had a chance to check it out, and that you're enjoying it.
